The topic is still the coming of Jesus (the pericope of 1 Thessalonians 4:13 – 5:11 forms a unity). We cannot and do not need to know the exact moment of Jesus’ coming. Only God determines that. This is in line with Jesus’ answer to a question from his disciples: It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority
(Acts 1:7).
1 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you.
