You can start by paying attention to what is important in our world: wisdom, might, and riches. Make it clear that they are not wrong (King Solomon as an example), but that things will go wrong if you put your trust in them.
The most important thing is not who you are but whose you are. Not: what I make of my life, but whether I am a beloved child of God, who gives me his love, faithfulness, and goodness.
Jeremiah 9 is quoted by Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:31: God’s wisdom and power are manifested in the cross of Calvary. Very different from what people expect, then and now! God is there where we do not seek him. Therefore, boast with Paul in the cross. Also as weak people, you find strength there.
You are not saved by what you have in your house. Money does not love you; wisdom does not die for you; your strength will irrevocably diminish. So, glorify in the Lord who gave his Son for you. Jesus alone, you are my foundation.
