Why does Eve say that she gave birth with the help of the LORD?
Genesis 4:1 (ESV)
1Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, saying, “I have gotten a man with the help of the LORD.”
Eve realizes she did not do this alone. Without God’s help she would not have given birth to Cain. She looked proudly into the cradle, but at the same time stated her dependence on God.
