Unique characteristics of the gospel of Mark

Mark 1:1–16:20 (ESV)

1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Mark is the shortest gospel. It has a lot of momentum and talks more about the deeds of Jesus than his teaching. Most likely, Mark gives an account of the memories of the apostle Peter. The writer himself appears in Acts 12:12–13 and was taken on the first missionary journey by Paul.
