Jesus is in Capernaum, the place in the north of Israel, where he went to live after his youth in Nazareth. He had also started a journey through Galilee (Mark 1:21). He may have had a house of his own there or stayed in the house of Peter’s mother-in-law (Mark 1:29). Jesus preached the good news to many people there.
1 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.
