Leviticus 1:1–17 had detailed the requirements for various burnt offerings. These offerings served as a substitute for the worshipper, granting them access into the presence of the Lord. It is fitting for those who have been accepted by God through sacrificial atonement to express their dedication to him. The grain offering was designed to confirm and renew the covenant relationship. Unlike the burnt offering, which was wholly devoted to the Lord, the greater part of the grain offering was given to the priests.
