On the other hand, those who have lived in love before the Lord will shine. The radiance of eternal life with a glorified body will make them shine. They will radiate like the sparkling vault of the heavens. This means that they will shine like the sun. Those who in their very lives have told others of Christ and thus brought people to a life with God will shine like the stars. They are the wise ones. You are wise and understanding when you seek your life in the Lord, in Christ. They are those who have shown people the way to a life that is truly good; a life that is righteous.
These are the people who have sought their intellect, their true enlightenment from the Lord and his wisdom. They are the people who did not want to live according to the wisdom of the world but according to the wisdom of God. They represent those in this world who have shown people the right way, the way of Christ, in words and deeds. Even though people on earth have oppressed them, despised them, and tarnished their reputation. Although they may have been imprisoned because they served Christ in their lives or were even killed for it, they will receive eternal honour from the Lord one day. The Lord restores justice.
3 And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky above; and those who turn many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
