How does the good news come to Samaria?

Acts 8:4–8 (ESV)

4 Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.

God uses persecution and flight to continue his work and cross the border to Samaria. Here Luke focuses on one of these evangelists, namely Philip (Acts 8:5–8). He proclaims the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 8:12) and does many miracles of healing and drives out demons. It is as if in Philip, Jesus himself is among the people with all these signs and miracles (compare Acts 10:37–38)!
