1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV)

18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

This is far-reaching, and yet it is attainable for those closely associated with Christ Jesus. After all, this Saviour is an inexhaustible source of strength and blessing. Repeatedly, the apostle Paul writes about this exuberantly in his letters (Ephesians 5:20; Philippians 4:6). That is why he was able to sing praises to God with Silas even in the prison of Philippi (Acts 16:25). There is truly nothing that will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:39; read also Romans 8:28 and Romans 8:31–39).
