When the Lord turned the serpent into a staff again, he showed that he could make what is dangerous to be harmless, whether that danger be a venomous snake, dark magic, or even the Egyptian king himself. The Lord’s voice declares that he is able to give power and to take it away again.
4 But the LORD said to Moses, “Put out your hand and catch it by the tail” so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand
