Now the author calls to himself to find rest again. After all, the Lord has put everything back in order for him. The word rest
here is very telling; for it is the opposite of the situation in which he initially found himself. First, his life was in danger, and now he is absolutely safe and in rest
he may continue his life.
7 Return, O my soul, to your rest; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.
