Ezra 10:1–4 (ESV)

1 While Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, a very great assembly of men, women, and children, gathered to him out of Israel, for the people wept bitterly.

It is so important for us to understand the corporate nature of our life together in Christ. It does not take a majority vote to bring a good and blessed result to the lives of the people of God going astray. It does not take a lot of people, it takes one person doing the appropriate thing in the appropriate time in the appropriate way. One person; Ezra. Here he was, doing according to the Word by his godly soul and it became infectious. A good infection.1
