The name our father
for David is seldom used, much less than we read about father Abraham and father Jacob (who really were fathers of Israel). David made Israel to a kingdom. Now Jesus comes as the Son of David (Mark 10:47–48). In the crowd people also shout: Hosanna to the Son of David
(Matthew 21:9). What the crowd is shouting differs in the Gospels. Not surprisingly, people in a multitude shout different things.
10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!”
