How does the instruction concerning the grain offering in Leviticus 6:14 compare to that in Leviticus 2?

Leviticus 6:14 (ESV)

14 “And this is the law of the grain offering. The sons of Aaron shall offer it before the LORD in front of the altar.

In the current passage, the Lord indicates that the grain offering is to be brought by the priest to the “front” (’ěl pāněh) of the altar. Additionally, Leviticus 2:1–16 did not mention that the priests must partake of the grain that is not sacrificed.
