What is the significance of the opening word “therefore”?
1 Peter 1:13 (ESV)
13Therefore, preparing your minds for action, and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
With the term “therefore” Peter links the present sentence to the previous paragraph. By the term, Peter is indicating that what he is saying next is the consequence of what he has just written.
