What does Acts 2:1-13 reveal about who God the Father is? God is powerful. Through the Holy Spirit the Father works to miraculously enable the apostles to speak in foreign languages which they have not studied or previously known.
God is concerned for the proclamation of the kingdom. Though not the primary reason for the giving of foreign languages, the new ability of the apostles is nevertheless consistent with God’s desire to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations.
God desires fellowship with his people. The sound of wind and sight of fire remind us of Old Testament theophanies where God revealed himself to his people in the past. They serve to confirm that God wants to be with his people.
