Hopeful promise of restoration

Zephaniah 2:6–7 (ESV)

6 And you, O seacoast, shall be pastures, with meadows for shepherds and folds for flocks.

The promise of abundant pasture for flocks (Zephaniah 2:6) and restoration of the fortunes of the remnant (Zephaniah 2:7) after exile is a picture of God’s restoring the general order of life and strength after suffering loss in captivity…. The humble who seek him will find release from their bondage and be renewed acc to the order God intends for his good creation.1
