Why are the people filled with wonder and amazement?

Acts 3:9–10 (ESV)

9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God,

The Jewish crowd is filled with wonder and amazement to see the man walking. Since he has been cripple for more than forty years, they have become so used to seeing him sitting at the gate and now he is walking. Everyone knows that a miracle must have taken place since no doctor can heal a person who is born lame. Also, with most of Jesus' miracles taking place in Galilee during his time on earth, this will be one of the first miracles from Jesus which the people of Jerusalem see.1
