Using Scripture in a wrong way

Matthew 4:6 (ESV)

6 and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, “‘He will command his angels concerning you,’and “‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’”

Even Satan quotes Scripture! This shows that the Bible can also be used in a wrong way. We always need to be on guard, even when someone comes with God’s Word. Does he explain it properly? Is he using the text in a way that fits in the entire context where it occurs, as well as in the entire Bible?
