The principles true for slaves are valid for every Christian experiencing some sort of overreach, whether in marriage (see 1 Peter 3:1–7), work, government, or otherwise. As Christians live in a broken world with people ensnared by sin, Christians will experience injustice from multiple sides. Peter’s instruction is valuable in learning how to respond to whatever wrongs God’s people experience.
