With these words John (better: the Holy Spirit) draws our attention deliberately back to the beginning of the Revelation, that is, Revelation 4:1–11. Everything between these two bookends provides the cause for the praise he is to receive, be it that it all climaxed in the fall of that ungodly, Babylon attitude that repeatedly seeks to overthrow God from his throne.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”
