Referring to Jesus as Teacher,
as well as their suggestion that Jairus should stop troubling Jesus, indicate that those who came from Jairus’s home to bring the news about the death of his daughter, did not believe Jesus could do anything more. This is a situation seemingly beyond human hope. However, instead of becoming an occasion for death to claim a victory, the delay becomes an opportunity for Jesus to triumph over the grave.
