After blessing the people, the Lord manifests his glory in a visible way. This symbolizes the Lord’s divine approval of what has taken place. In this way, the Lord authenticated and approved the new standard of worship. Previously, the Lord manifested his glory in the form of a bright cloud and a pillar of fire. These were visible signs of the Lord’s presence with his people. Now, the appearance of the Lord’s glory reassured the Israelites of his presence in the sanctuary.
23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.
