Why is unity in Christ important?

Romans 15:5–6 (ESV)

There are many reasons to mention. For example, we must show that we are one body under our Head, Jesus Christ (Romans 12:3–7). Unity is also important to convince people of God’s love (John 13:31–35). But the ultimate goal of unity is that we are focused on the glory of God together.
