We are unable to determine the exact year or time when these events took place.1 What is clear is that they occurred some time after the apostles appeared before the Sanhedrin (Acts 5:17–42). The precise date is unknown but it is generally assumed to be around six months or one year after Jesus’ ascension into heaven (Acts 1:1–11).
