The description of God as the God of glory
(Psalm 29:3) right from the outset is perhaps to emphasize the transcendence of God who does not live in a temple made with hands.1 The same phrase is also used by Moses in reference to God dwelling among the Israelites in the tent of meeting and his glory filling the tabernacle (Exodus 25:8; Exodus 40:34–35).2
