For the Son of Man to be standing at the right hand of God means that he has been given divine authority.1 Stephen sees Jesus as One who suffered and was vindicated by God (Luke 9:22), the pattern to be followed by Christian believers, and the One who will vindicate those who are not ashamed to acknowledge him before men (Luke 12:8).2
56 And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”
