Out of Zion, God appears in radiant light. That mainly determines the beauty of this city. Thus, she becomes perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth
(Lamentations 2:15). Where God presents himself, more than earthly brilliance arises. Then heaven comes very close to people. For centuries pilgrims to Jerusalem have sensed this in Zion. This can be heard in many Psalms (including Psalm 48:3; Psalm 7:3; Psalm 122:1).
