The tone of the Psalm becomes sharper, fiercer, and more concrete. This is also necessary. There are apparently many among God’s people who, while speaking pious words with their mouths, ignore God’s commandments (especially see Psalm 50:18–20). They know exactly what God’s commandments are, but it's not really in their hearts. These people should know well that the Lord probes their hearts and has knowledge of the deepest things that move them.
In fact, this is something that we must also let ourselves be aware of today. Can we agree with the longest Psalm, which is one continuous song of praise to God’s law? An example of this is what is written in Psalm 119:15 and Psalm 119:16: I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways. I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
16 But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes or take my covenant on your lips?
