In Psalm 119, the psalmist testifies repeatedly to a choice that he will make, to listen to and submit to God’s law. Where the false prophets want us to pretend that God’s law is of no consequence and we are free to ignore parts of it, God’s children know that we must listen to everything God has said. It would be good therefore to sing from this psalm in response to your sermon. Psalm 119:65-72 might be particularly appropriate.
