Even the very people close to you–your mother’s son–are not safe with the wicked. They gossip viciously about him. That could be his downfall, but it does not affect the wicked. This is so far removed from the beginning of the book of Psalms: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers
(Psalm 1:1). Psalm 50 describes the exact opposite behaviour. This cannot end well.
