How did the Spirit carry Philip away?

Acts 8:39 (ESV)

39 And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.

Though it is possible that the Spirit communicated with Philip and Philip simply left the eunuch and started walking to Azotus,1 it is more likely that he was transported in some way. A supernatural event occurs to take Philip away from the Ethiopian (as in 2 Corinthians 12:2, 2 Corinthians 12:4; 1 Thessalonians 4:17; Revelation 12:5).2 Similar events are also described in 1 Kings 18:12, 2 Kings 2:16, and Ezekiel 3:14.
