2 Kings 24:13 (ESV)

13 and carried off all the treasures of the house of the LORD and the treasures of the king’s house, and cut in pieces all the vessels of gold in the temple of the LORD, which Solomon king of Israel had made, as the LORD had foretold.

It is better to translate that Nebuchadnezzar took all kinds of treasures from the temple than all the treasures, because the total dismantling of the temple took place later (see 2 Kings 25:13–17). Linguistically, this translation is not objectionable.

In this verse we must certainly pay attention to the expression as the Lord had foretold. For this prediction reference is often made to 2 Kings 20:13 and 2 Kings 20:17 and that may indeed be a correct reference, but strictly speaking there is no prophecy of emptying the temple. The prediction that the temple will be plundered falls under Hezekiah’s kingdom (2 Kings 20:13) and that which your fathers have stored up till this day (2 Kings 20:17). For the moment of prediction, however, one can also refer to 1 Kings 9:6–9 where the Lord himself says that he will give up the temple to be plundered and destroyed in the event when king and people turn away from him.
