1 Samuel 1:1–20 (ESV)

1 There was a certain man of Ramathaim-zophim of the hill country of Ephraim whose name was Elkanah the son of Jeroham, son of Elihu, son of Tohu, son of Zuph, an Ephrathite.

What does 1 Samuel 1:1–20 reveal about what God does in and through me (the work of the Holy Spirit)? God the Holy Spirit helps me to trust the Lord even in times of suffering and hardship. He brings me to pray and pour out my heart to God when I am hurting, while having full confidence that the Father will hear my prayers.
