2 Kings 25:28 (ESV)

28 And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon.

It is quite telling that Jehoiachin enjoyed more than a general amnesty. He received a special treatment by which he received a better life than the other captured kings. Something lights up here, amidst all the brokenness, of the special position of the royal house of David—a position that exists thanks to the Lord who had chosen David to bring forth the most special King ever.
