How does Leviticus 10 relate to the Christian?

Leviticus 10:20 (ESV)

20 And when Moses heard that, he approved.

In the New Testament, the duties of the priesthood have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ. We no longer need to offer sacrifices (Hebrews 9:11–14). We no longer need a priest to represent us before God (Hebrews 10:19–22). At the same time, the New Testament refers to all believers as priests (1 Peter 2:9–10). In Hebrews 4:16 the author writes, “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” The verb “draw near” is used in the Septuagint to refer to the priests and their work in the tabernacle. As the New Testament priesthood, Christians must ensure that they worship the Lord according to the principles he has laid out for us with a humble and contrite attitude.
