17 Now Samuel called the people together to the LORD at Mizpah.

What does 1 Samuel 10:17–27 reveal about what God does in my place and on my behalf (the work of the Son)? Jesus Christ is the King who was chosen, equipped, and ruled by God. He lived in true fear of the Lord throughout his life, perfectly obedient to all of God’s commandments. He bore the wrath of God for the sins of God’s elect.
