The location of the wilderness of Sinai has traditionally been identified as being the southern region of the modern-day Sinai Peninsula. Some, however, have recently advanced the idea that this wilderness is in modern-day Saudi Arabia, citing, amongst others, a statement made by Paul who mentions Mount Sinai as being in Arabia (see Galatians 4:25).
