Jesus’ lowliness of heart was the attitude that made him come to earth to suffer for us. He did not think about himself; he thought of us. He humbled himself, although he lived in the glory of God. He became a slave and obedient unto death on the cross (see Philippians 2:5–8).
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
