Psalm 44:15 (ESV)

15 All day long my disgrace is before me, and shame has covered my face

The writer feels that he must carry his blame all day; the blush of shame covers his face. He is completely ashamed, and it continues on and on. Everyone can see it. He does not understand all of this, but in this poem—this Psalm—he throws it before the Lord’s feet. It is a complaint to his God. He has not let go of him (see Psalm 44:17).
