At times Christians are inclined to render obedience to those commandments that suit them, but to disregard other commandments when obedience does not suit them. Too often Christians suppose God is pleased with them if they keep nine-tenths of the law. We do well to remember that God demands perfect obedience to all his commandments (Matthew 5:48). As James writes, For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it
(James 2:10).
