Christ is preparing us for the worst. Opposition will be fierce, and we may be attacked by those from whom we least expect it. We may be threatened with deadly hatred in word and deed in the places where we feel the safest. Even in the most intimate family circle, devilish opposition can turn against you. The opposition comes not only from the circle of your fellow believers or from worldly powers; your closest blood relatives can turn into cruel haters.
