How do we evaluate Samson’s behaviour toward his parents?
Judges 14:9 (ESV)
9He scraped it out into his hands and went on, eating as he went. And he came to his father and mother and gave some to them, and they ate. But he did not tell them that he had scraped the honey from the carcass of the lion.
Samson gets his parents in on the defilement by giving them some of the honey, without telling them its origins. The vocabulary that he “gave some to them, and they ate,” is the same vocabulary as when Eve gave Adam the fruit (Genesis 3:6).
9 He scraped it out into his hands and went on, eating as he went. And he came to his father and mother and gave some to them, and they ate. But he did not tell them that he had scraped the honey from the carcass of the lion.
