The word “feast” makes us think of food. But the word here comes from the verb “to drink.” This is a seven-day drinking party. But alcohol was not permitted for Nazirites. To be sure, the text does not say that Samson himself drink, but Samson has yet to show himself a man of much self-control. It is unlikely that Samson is the designated driver.
