Commentary on Job 13:9 (Summary)

Job 13:9 (ESV)

9 Will it be well with you when he searches you out? Or can you deceive him, as one deceives a man?

Job is the one who loves truth and justice, unlike his friends, who bend truth and justice in their attempt to defend God and win his approval. Notice that Satan is again proved wrong. Job still stands for truth and justice, even though there is no reward in sight (cf. Job 1:9).
