On its own there is some ambiguity to Samson’s statement, “I will go in to my wife.” Does he want simply to visit her, or to consummate the marriage with sexual intercourse? With the addition of “in the chamber,” it appears the latter is in view. He wants to complete the wedding ceremony by taking his bride to the inner chamber and consummating the marriage.
