The word insolence
means to be rude and disrespectful. An insolent person is a contentious, know-it-all, full of pride and self-centred individual with a superior attitude. He will display his insolence by being quick to quarrel and unwilling to agree with anyone with a different point of view to his. Such a person will be the cause of strife and conflict. But a person who takes advice from someone else will gain wisdom which will result in them being quick to swallow their pride and not display any insolence that will cause strife.
10 By insolence comes nothing but strife, but with those who take advice is wisdom.
