Proverbs 13:15 (ESV)

15 Good sense wins favor, but the way of the treacherous is their ruin.

To have good sense is a result of having a sound understanding of God’s Word and obeying its instructions. The evidence of this good sense is to live according to the Word of God. Those with good sense will make good decisions, behave in the right way, and speak words that are true. The person who displays good sense will earn God’s favour upon their lives. To lack good sense is to follow the way of the treacherous which is to make bad decisions, act in a sinful way and speak words that are untrue. This kind of lifestyle will not earn God’s favour but will only lead to ruin.
