Commentary on Job 15:35 (Summary)

Job 15:35 (ESV)

35 They conceive trouble and give birth to evil, and their womb prepares deceit.”

It had seemed to Job that he was born for trouble (Job 3:10). But, says Eliphaz, it is you who have given birth to your own troubles.

With his second speech, Eliphaz has reaffirmed what he had said in the first. When a man suffers, it is because of his sin.
