What is the significance of the word “because”?

1 Peter 4:14 (ESV)

14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

To the average person there is no blessing in being insulted (as Peter had said earlier in this verse). With the word because Peter introduces his explanation for saying the insulted are blessed. The reason for the blessing is, Because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.
